  • Research/Development: Preparing information for presentations/proposals (ie, gathering samples, product research, product pricing [wholesale and retail], requesting information from suppliers, getting quotes from vendors, creating project scopes for client review, preliminary estimating, etc.)

  • Order Processing, if applicable: Making calls and completing the proper paperwork associated with ordering materials or merchandise for a client’s project

  • Creating Work Orders and Scheme Sheets, if applicable: Prepare and create work orders for subcontractors using Houzz Pro. Include pictures, measurements, and other information that can be accessed from the Client’s file

  • Assist with phone calls for new inquiries

  • Greet new clients walking into the studio and assess their wants and needs, if applicable

  • Special projects as assigned by Principal Designer

  • Outline and understand client design objectives

  • Set timelines for projects and stick to them

  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements

  • Track project costs in order to meet budget

  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan

  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to client, trades and team about adjustments, and progress

  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution

  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed

  • Source materials and furniture from vendors

  • Prepare designs for clients and collaborate with design assistant to ensure orders are placed properly

  • Create design boards, if applicable

  • Communicate with clients, trades, and design support team


  • Bachelor's degree in interior design, or related

  • Experience in sales and customer service

  • Experience in interior design

  • Experience in project management 

  • Self starter

  • Comfortable with learning new technology

  • Proficient in the following software: Microsoft Office Programs (ex: Word, Excel etc.), Office 365 (ex: Outlook, Calendar etc.), Windows 7-10 Software, Asana, Canva, Houzz Pro, AutoCad, Illustrator, Sketchup or similar design software

  • Respectful, mature, reliable, and responsible

  • Excellent communication skills with a strong command of the English language, both written and spoken

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, accurate, and neat in all aspects of the job

  • Works well under pressure; able to multitask, prioritize, and consistently meet deadlines

  • Able to follow through on multiple projects with both short-term and long-term objectives

Travel: some travel may be required to local projects 

Location: Territory will be flexible, Palm Beaches, Martin, St Lucie and Indian River Counties

Schedule: M-F HOURS

Rate: Commission Scale
