JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY DUTIES

 

  • Maintaining showroom organization and cleanliness

  • Prepare gifts for clients

  • Assist in processing orders, quotations and reserves

  • Conduct showroom appointments

  • Handling telephone/internet inquiries

  • Creating proposals for client products

  • Provide knowledge on product services

  • Provide a memorable customer experience

  • Pull sample requests and maintain sample library

  • Perform routine showroom appearance maintenance

  • Communicate with clients regarding their orders in a prompt and professional manner  

  • Assist in all showroom events - some after business hours

  • Maintain client database for follow up purposes 

  • Assist with other duties assigned by the Principal Designer

  • Check in sample books/catalogs/magazines and update regularly

  • Order Processing: Making calls and completing the proper paperwork associated with ordering materials or merchandise for walk-in clients

  • Work Orders and Scheme Sheets: Prepare and create work orders for subcontractors using either Microsoft Publisher, Excel or Design Manager. Include pictures, measurements, and other information that can be accessed from the Client’s file

  • Assist with answering phone calls

  • Greet new clients walking into the studio and assess their wants and needs

  • Special projects as assigned by owner and team

  • Communicate with clients, trades, and design support team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in sales and customer service

  • Three years experience in home decor industry

  • Eye for design

  • Excellent follow up skills

  • Self starter

  • Comfortable with learning new technology

  • Proficient in the following software: Microsoft Office Programs (ex: Word, Excel etc.), Office 365 (ex: Outlook, Calendar etc.), Windows 7-10 Software, Asana, Houzz Pro or similar product management software

  • Respectful, mature, reliable, and responsible

  • Excellent communication skills with a strong command of the English language, both written and spoken

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, accurate, and neat in all aspects of the job

  • Works well under pressure; able to multitask, prioritize, and consistently meet deadlines

  • Able to follow through on multiple projects with both short-term and long-term objectives

Schedule: M-F HOURS

Rate: Commission Scale
