Inside Sales Associate

Responsibilities & DUTIES

  • Maintaining showroom organization and cleanliness

  • Reports to and takes direction from Principal Designer/Owner.

  •  Understand and comprehend other design work offered by FMI (“full design”, Walk ‘n Talk,
    or “Designer for a Day”). Direct client inquiries to appropriate Team Member or Principal
    Designer, as needed.

  • Greet new clients entering studio and assess their requests.

  • Assure clients have a positive experience working with our firm.

  • Monitor and respond to all new client calls and inquiries timely and effectively.

  • Check messages daily.

  • Be familiar with product sources, vendors, trades and installers for product sales.

  • Develop scope of work and proposals for product sales.

  • Prepare and process quotes and orders for Window Treatment, Upholstery and Wallpaper.

  • Timely complete all necessary paperwork and digitally file all work orders, purchase orders,
    invoices and scheme sheets with photos, measurements, installation details and client status
    in in appropriate software programs in accordance with company policy. Tutorials and
    training available.

  • Request assistance with Client jobs from Principal Designer or appropriate Team Member
    when needed.

  • Responsible to keep in-studio product sample library up to date and orderly, including all
    sample books, displays, catalogs and references. May request assistance from other Team
    Members, as needed.

  • Update and maintain price lists with direction and approval from Principal Designer or
    another Team Member as assigned by Principal Designer.

  • Attend marketing events as requested by Principal Designer.

  • Attend weekly Team Meetings or other meetings as requested by Principal Designer.

  • Review Website and other marketing material and provide input to Principal Designer and/or
    Marketing Director.

  • Assist with answering phones.

  • Responding to and file email inquiries.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned by Principal Designer.


  • Must have background and experience in sales and customer service.

  • Must have home decorating product services knowledge and experience.

  • Must have excellent computer skills and competent level of knowledge using Microsoft suite of
    products. Experience with Asana, Houzz, Houzz Pro, HoneyBooks helpful.

  • Must communicate professionally with clients, trades, contractors and other team members.

  • Must be highly organized, able to multi-task and excellent attention to detail.

  • Must be a self-starter with excellent follow up skills.

  • Must be able to carry out assigned responsibilities, work independently and prioritize tasks to
    complete product sales and other duties assigned timely.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, consent to a background check and provide proof of auto

Travel: some travel may be required to local projects 

Location: Stuart, FL

Schedule: M-F HOURS, Some Saturdays preferred

Rate: Hourly + Commission Scale
